Louis Lucente is a diverse and dynamic leading man – constantly in demand across stage and screen. On-screen, he recently played Pat Ainsley in Season 2 of MS FISHER’S MODERN MURDER MYSTERIES for Acorn TV.

2019 saw Louis perform as Harry Houdini in the Australian premiere of RAGTIME for The Production Company in Melbourne. He also appeared across the country in the 50th Anniversary Production of HAIR (Sydney Opera House), alongside the national tour of JERSEY BOYS (Dodgers/NewTheatricals) as Norm Waxman – frequently appearing as Tommy Devito.

Recent appearances include the world premiere cast of MURIEL'S WEDDING THE MUSICAL at Sydney Theatre Company, alongside the original cast recording. In 2018 Louis also starred as Roger Davis in RENT (QPAC), and Giuseppe Zangara in the acclaimed ASSASSINS (Sydney Opera House) starring David Campbell.

Other credits include JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (The Production Company) directed by Gale Edwards, Jon in TICK TICK BOOM (Pursued By Bear), Snoopy in Gary Abraham's production of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN (Vass Theatre Group) and Tony in WEST SIDE STORY (Packemin Productions).

In 2015 Louis led the Australian Premiere of Pasek & Paul’s DOGFIGHT at the Hayes Theatre Company, directed by Neil Gooding - his performance as Eddie Birdlace heralding much praise.

Louis garnered much attention as Leo Frank in the Australian Professional Premiere of Jason Robert Brown’s PARADE (The Collective - 2014 TheatrePro Best Actor in a Musical Nomination). Louis also spent 2014 performing in the 40th Anniversary Australian tour of Richard O’Brien’s THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Ambassador Theatre/GFO), performing the role of Brad on several occasions. 

He has appeared as Pippin in PIPPIN (Magnormos – 2013 TheatrePro Best Actor in a Musical Nomination), Leon Czolgosz in ASSASSINS (Watch This), Jamie in THE LAST FIVE YEARS (Theatreworks), Ensemble/Cover Fiyero in WICKED (GFO), Swing/Cover Bob Gaudio in JERSEY BOYS (Newtheatricals/Dodgers), and Society Max/Joey Biltmore in GUYS & DOLLS (Ambassador/Donmar).  Louis was also a grand finalist in the 2011 ANZ Trustees ROB GUEST ENDOWMENT. 

Other stage appearances include STEPHEN SCHWARTZ - IN CONVERSATION, TWISTED BROADWAY, THE SONGS OF CY COLEMAN and AN EVENING WITH LANCE HORNE. Screen credits include roles in the US mini-series THE PACIFIC, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THAT GUY?, NEIGHBOURS and the feature film MORMON YANKEES: SPIRIT OF THE GAME. Louis has also appeared in countless short films and television commercials.

Louis was also the creator of the unique cabaret experience, JIM MORRISON: KALEIDOSCOPE. Directed by Nicholas Christo and featuring Louis accompanying himself on piano, the one-man show is a wild ride through the mind of the infamous frontman of THE DOORS. KALEIDOSCOPE has played to sell-out audiences and rave reviews in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth & Ballarat.
