Sunshine West, 2025. Dino Alberti has just been buried. The wake is over. His widow and four sons remain in the house he built.

For decades, Dino held the family together through work, ritual, and silence. Now Concetta and her sons are forced to confront what else he left behind. Over the course of one weekend, Casa Alberti is a family drama about masculinity, migration, duty, and the cost of keeping things together.

Loosely inspired by the architecture of Federico García Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba, the play relocates the pressure of the sealed family home to Melbourne’s western suburbs — where mourning rituals, Sunday lunch, and the mythology of the self-made migrant family begin to fracture.
